1月4日消息，加密卫星公司 Cryptosat 宣布借助 SpaceX 发射第二颗加密卫星 Crypto2。Crypto2 是一颗类似杯子大小的小型卫星，在近地轨道运行，计算速度比该公司于去年 5 月发射的第一颗卫星 Crypto1提高 30 倍。
据相关此前报道，Cryptosat 希望在太空中提供一个物理上无法访问且防篡改的平台，可以从该平台启动区块链和分类帐应用程序。去年 10 月，Cryptosat 完成 300 万美元种子轮融资，其联合创始人 Yonatan Winetraub 和 Yan Michalevsky 领投，Protocol Labs、Inflection、GoAhead Ventures、DoraHacks 等参投。
