Why is the contract display service not available on OKEx (OKEx contract fees)

Why is the contract display service not available on OKEx? In the cryptocurrency market, contract trading is an important component of trading activity. Exchanges can manage and control users’ funds according to their needs, rather than simply operating account assets through contracts, in order to maximize profits. However, if users want to use high-risk tools such as leverage or options to participate in cryptocurrency trading, they must activate a display service, which can result in losses for many investors (such as liquidation and arbitrage). Why is the contract display service not available on OKEx? The reason is simple: currently, most decentralized exchanges use a futures model, so they cannot display all varieties on the chain like traditional securities markets.

So why do these trading platforms activate this feature? It is because of several reasons: First, we do not need a third party to conduct margin audits, nor do we need to provide delivery and settlement-related information; second, because the systems of most trading venues are based on traditional financial products, they do not have the relevant security awareness and experience, so there is no need to develop any compliant products; third, because most digital currency trading scenarios do not involve information related to physical delivery and settlement.

OKEx contract fees

According to the official announcement by OKEx, by 18:00 today, within 24 hours, users can use any currency as margin to trade mainstream digital assets contracts such as BTC and ETH. The commission fee for the BTCUSDT perpetual contract is 0.015 USDT/each; the commission fee for the ETHUSDT perpetual contract is 0.048 USDT/each.

All the above fees are calculated based on the actual trading volume and fund flow of the platform, and it is expected to have a significant impact on users’ positions after settlement.
