First of all, it is important to know that there are three types of magic in the game: light, dark, ice (blue), and green (purple). The ways to obtain these three types of magic are challenging boss levels, defeating bosses, purchasing in the shop, or completing specific main quests.

Among them, light, dark, and ice can only be obtained by challenging boss levels, while ice can only be obtained by challenging bosses (though I personally think that ice is relatively difficult to defeat).
