On March 12, Andrew Chow, Bitcoin Core developer, said that code review was one of the biggest challenges Bitcoin currently faces. Most core developers are keen to write code for new features, but few like the more mundane task of reviewing code submitted by peers. Chow said that more contributors need to focus on code review to deal with more than 300 PRs in the GitHub repository of the Core.
