What is the best blockchain? How to choose? What is the best blockchain?

Blockchain technology is a peer-to-peer distributed database system. It uses the latest achievements in cryptography, the Internet of Things, and network communication technology to achieve peer-to-peer transmission. At the same time, it ensures transparent, public, and traceable transaction processes through encryption algorithms, while storing data in traditional databases requires the use of private keys or public keys (i.e., hash values). This digital currency allows participants to obtain accounting rights faster and fundamentally change the value proposition of the entire system. There are currently two main types of Bitcoin blockchains on the market: Ethereum and Ripple.

Ethereum adopts a new consensus mechanism called “PoW”, which aims to improve efficiency and reduce resource waste. Ripple uses a new type of blockchain based on the zero-knowledge proof protocol – Proof-Of-Work (POW), which allows anyone to create their own blocks and send them to a decentralized verification node, making it the only secure multiparty computing platform. However, due to flaws in this solution, many people believe that such solutions are not reliable. Therefore, Ethereum is considered a secure and effective blockchain because they have not been hacked or attacked. The same goes for Ethereum Classic: “If you want to build a truly intelligent contract application or a new DAPP, you need to consider whether to develop software specifically for the blockchain.”

Which blockchain is more popular?

Blockchain, a popular term, is no longer new. In the first half of this year, the price of Bitcoin rose from $11,000 to over $27,000.

In the second half of the year, it entered a new phase. In 2019, many new concepts, projects, and places related to blockchain have emerged. So, in this period, which coins are worth investing in?

In fact, these are all projects in the bull market of 2017, but some colleagues believe that these projects have potential or that they will arouse people’s interest in blockchain technology. However, they may not have considered whether we should participate in this innovation. So I personally think they have great prospects.

1. Bitcoin, as a digital currency, was born in the fourth century in 2008. At that time, the price of Bitcoin was 21 million coins, and Ethereum reached about 400 billion coins. Later, due to large market fluctuations, it reached today’s high point (about $40 million).

Currently, Bitcoin does not have much relationship with other crypto assets because its value lies in its ability to facilitate transactions in various ways. As more and more investors pay attention to the development of the financial industry it represents, and the recognition of some well-known companies is continuously increasing, it is certain that when many people want to join, there will be a part of people who hope to get in touch.

2. EOS is a very early investment field. Since 2013, Block.one has provided a large number of EOS-based application services and products in its app store and has gained a lot of supporters. On June 21, 2018, EOS founder BM announced the release of a test version of the eosio platform. In early 2018, the platform released its own smart contract prototype. In August 2018, it went online with the mainnet and then upgraded. It became one of the most popular tokens on the EOS public chain.

3. Ripple is a good example. Although Ripple is not just a technical product, but also an incentive mechanism, it is a complex technical engineering in real life, requiring more funds and time. Therefore, Ripple is not the first mentioned blockchain project. Instead, Ripple is a main node client named Ripple added to a protocol developer toolkit called Eth2.0 released in October last year. RenVM is an open-source software environment used to store data from around the world, including network status and block information.
